Black Center Stones- The Unique Choice For Engagement Rings

Engagement rings are not always meant to be traditional. While white metals and shades of yellow gold or blush are very common, deep-hued ebony rings are the instant game changers and unique choice among engagement rings. These not so conventional rings have a gothic appeal that takes inspiration from the starry night. The black engagement rings lend an ethereal magic which is so charming than the classic counterparts. Here is how black center stones are one of the best choices –
Black Diamond-

While white colorless diamonds have a beauty of their own, the black diamonds too never fail to attract attention. Although the stones were not considered so valuable, they have become quite popular recently. Scientists claim that these have an interstellar origin and high-quality pyrite, graphite and hematite are used in their making. These tend to have high luster and metallic appeal. Although they are not graded in the same way as clear diamonds, certain labs will still provide the certification. They can be cut in various shapes and sizes and look absolutely amazing especially on light hued metals such as white gold and platinum. These can be set into different diamond jewelry designs and patterns.

Onyx-

Onyx can be cut into a bead like a cabochon shape or flat design depending upon your choice. Both of them look amazing and are perfect midnight-hued gems. Since onyx is opaque, it lends a shiny backdrop for colorless diamonds to reflect their brilliance. Pearls too can be used in halo settings to add definition to onyx cabochon.

Black Sapphires-

While most of the people believe that sapphires only come in pink or blue, the fact is that they come in the wide range of colors and hues including the sophisticated black. Black colored sapphires look absolutely stunning when adorned as center stones for engagement rings. They can even be paired with other hues of sapphire or even diamonds for a modish look.

Black Opal-

Opal stones have a charm of their own. While most of the people believe them to be rainbow-hued gemstones, these too come in many color variants including black. One must not think of black opals to be completely dark-hued as it is usually a rainbow spectrum set against a black backdrop. These unique stones pair well with every metal hue and stone. Since these are softer, wearing them while doing vigorous activities such as gymming might not be recommended.
